Notice that the first 15 feet of the store is taken over by a foyer formed by the intersection of the two doors and the backlit Apple logo (out of sight to the right). If the entrance on the left had been omitted, the side walls would have been extended to the front of the store. However, the 120-foot depth of the space allows the loss of some part of the storefront without limiting the display floor space.

The addition of the left entrance provides outside visibility of Apple's traditional retail store brand elements: stainless steel and the backlit logo, but without using either of the elments outside the store.

Also notice the ceiling lights over the foyer, which are unusual for a standard Apple store.
