About 8:45 a.m. SF mayor Gavin Newsom appeared in the crosswalk at Stockton St. and Market St. carrying a Starbucks coffee cup. He headed for the Ellis St. employee entrance of the Apple store, and was approached by Sr. V-P Retail Ron Johnson. After a short conversation, Johnson offered to give Newsom a tour of the store, and they went inside. Former mayor Willie Brown appeared about two minutes later, arriving in a Desoto Cab.
