Rome Apple Product Prices
In January 2006 I traveled to Rome (Italy) on a search for Apple's future retail store. Sadly, I did not locate it, but did come up with lots of information, including the prices of Apple products at three authorized resellers.
For comparison, all prices are in euros and include the standard 20% value-added tax (VAT). At the time of the trip the euro was price at about $1.20. Based on this analysis, Apple product prices are from 6% to 16% higher in Italy compared to the U.S., except for AppleCare, which is priced an average of 32% higher in Italy.
