The Patridge Creek (Mich.) retail store opened on the same day as the new mall, October 18, 2007. Thanks to Brian for the iPhone photos. He noted that the only store with a line was the Apple store! He added that Gov. Jennifer Granholm showed up to open the mall, and that about 400 persons were in line by the time the Apple store opened. According to press reports, 1,000 persons visited the store within the first 45 minutes, and the first purchase was made two minutes after the store opened: a $399 iPod.
