Retail Store Cashier
In early October, 2004 Apple posted an opening for a part-time cashier for the SoHo (NYC) retail store. Here's the job listing for what they called a "Mac Cashier:" In October 2005 Apple several "Lead" versions of this position.

Ket Objective:
- Responsible for maintaining an effective and organized cash register area while providing excellent service, observing and maintaining all POS policies and procedures.
- Duties:
- Rings sales efficiently and accurately in accordance to established markdown, price override, post void, and purchase procedures.
- Closes out register by counting cash and reconciling cash balances against the register.
- Organizes all cash wrap supplies.
- Communicates with management on inventory levels of those supplies.
- Reorders supplies as needed.
- Observes customers and alerts loss prevention associates or MOD to potential shoplifters or vandalism.
- Insures that the highest level of service is given to each customer making a transaction, executing the steps of service with every customer.
- Maintains excellent presentation of all merchandise with and around the register area.
- Completes any regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, etc.
- Ability to be on your feet up to 8 hours a day.
