| Ginza Apple Store Grand Opening November 30, 2003 With the grand opening less than 24 hours away, the store was a beehive of activing, including training, cleaning fixing and preparing. The weather was rainy, although that made the temperatures slightly more bearable. In the morning, Ginza employees were being given training on the ground floor, and were circled around an easel as they sat on the floor. The employees also appeared to given practice on the check-out procedures, and how to stack merchandise for carry-out to the customer's vehicle. Sidewalk traffic continued to be big, with scores of people taking wireless phone photos, digital photos, and asking the two security guards about the opening. Workers changed the lettering on the front windows--they removed it from the outside, and put it on the inside. There was window cleaning, stainless steel buffing, installation of floor matts and umbrealla cover machines at the front door. |
