General Manager
KEY OBJECTIVES:
- Primary responsibility is to grow the Apple Brand and implement the Retail Vision through unparalleled customer service, store contribution and profitability.
- Oversees and is responsible for total operational functions of multiple stores (or a Flagship/High Profile store) within a designated market.
As a member of the Retail management team the General Manager is accountable for the implementation of plans established by the region to achieve sales, operations and organizational goals of customer satisfaction, productivity, and profitability. The General Manager accomplishes this through management of, and delegation to skilled Associate Managers.
- Defines, communicates, and deploys innovative strategies for store growth.
- Maintains profitability through sales, payroll, and shrink goals for multiple stores (or a Flagship/High Profile store).
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills with staff, customers, channel partners, and headquarters.
- Advises Associate Managers in their efforts to recruit, hire, retain and develop a diverse and talented team.
- Establishes community relations through participation in local organizations and events.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- nalyzes multi-store reports and identifies ways to leverage opportunities to maximize results, reporting information to staff and upper management.
- Accountable for the stores’ bottom line and development of their management staff.
Requires a BS degree in Business or related discipline and 5 to 7 years of retail experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Prior retail management is preferred.
