Chile Reseller

The Apple Centre concept continues to expand in South America, with the opening of a branch of the MacOnline chain in the city of Concepción, Chile, the country's second-largest city of about 380,000 residents.

The first store in Santiago opened in Dec. 2005, as reported here.

Concepción is about 310 miles south of Santiago, to the south, near the major port Talcahuano and the store is located in the Mall Plaza del Trébol shopping center. The store covers just over 1,000 square-feet, and includes a service bar. However, space constraints prevented including a 'kids' area or theater.

Thanks to Mariano Lozano, MacOnline Store Manager, for these photos of the new store.

Workers take the wraps off the front of the new MacOnline store.

The store uses the familiar black-and-white color scheme, along with light wood furniture.

The store has a huge front window for great interior visibility.

The wooden furniture mimics U.S. Apple stores, but is much taller.

The shelving looks just like U.S. stores.
