Boylston Street Views

Thanks to Mark for these photos of the Boylston Street (Boston) store construction. They show the long-range visibility of the store from the left and right, and also a view down the famous Public Alley 442 behind the store.

The storefront now has a physical presence, especially as plywood is installed between the structural steel (for weather protection as the construction continues during winter?). Mark notes that the white/silver-colored horizontal steel beem above the ground floor is autographed by the construction team.

A view of the store (plywood front) from the west, with the Prudential Center complex to the right.

A view of the store from the east (white crane boom in front of the store). The curved, upper-level window on the corner belongs to Priscilla of Boston, a bridal salon.

A view north along Public Alley 442 from Fairfield Street. Directly to the right of the boom crane trucks is the rear of Apple reseller Tech Superpowers Inc., and the Webcam view we've been seeing since Feb. 2007.
