Bondi Junction Apple Reseller Construction workers are finishing up the space where an Apple reseller will open the Academy Store on the outside of the fashionable Bondi Junction shopping center on the southeast side of Sydney (Australia). The grand opening is scheduled for June 15, 2006. Here are some exclusive photos of the interior of the 3-story, Bondi blue store, which goes way beyond any architectural design Apple has tried in its stores. The store will feature various zones devoted to consumer products, professional business, graphics, video and iPods. It will also have a kids section, and 8-seat "Academy Support Bar," two 12-seat, hands-on training labs where they will hold monthly "Academy ProCard Days," and a 24-seat theater. Also check this collection of photos from the store's Web site.
The front of the store, showing the three levels, and hinting at the famous "Bondi blue" color scheme. The color is was one of those used in Apple's original iMac line.
