Associate Store Manager
KEY OBJECTIVES:
- Primary responsibility is to assist their MM/GM/SM in growing the Apple Brand through unparalleled customer service, store contribution and profitability.
- Will be assigned responsibility for all store functions in the absence of their manager.
As a member of the Retail management team the Associate Store Manager will manage one or more of the store functions (See: individualized and customized job descriptions) , base on assignment of a division of responsibility (DOR: Sales, Human Resources, Back-of-House Operations, Service, etc.). The Associate Store Manager accomplishes this through management of and delegation to skilled managers and staff.
- Provides direct management and supervision of Assistant Store Managers and sales associates.
- Identifies, communicates, and implements innovative ideas to improve processes and performance in their store/assigned area(s).
- Participate in regional calls and meetings as assigned.
- Manage profitability of their store/assigned area(s) through monitoring sales, payroll, and shrink goals.
- Regularly communicate decisions and status of operations to MM/GM/SM.
- Communicate positively with staff, customers, channel partners, and headquarters.
- Supervise staff including recruiting, hiring, goal setting, developing and general personnel management of a diverse and talented team.
- Consideration may be given to the recommendations of their ASMs.
- Completes projects associated with their division of responsibility.
- Other duties may include writing store procedures, establishing store practices, analyzing store activities to identify problems and solutions, preparing statistical and narrative reports of store activities.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Protects all company assets. Accountable for their store/assigned areas financial and overall performance and employee development.
Requires a BS degree in Business or related discipline and 3 to 5 years of retail experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Prior retail management is preferred.
