ABQ Uptown Construction

These photos show the construction progress of the ABQ Uptown (Albuquerque, NM) store as of October 6, 2006. The store is due for a late November grand opening.

The façade of the Apple store is taking shape, with the aluminum support structure now covered with plywod, leaving a space for the back-lit Apple logo. Notie how the façade extends above the actual roof line of the adjacent building to allow space for the stainless steel panels.

This view shows that the display window glass has been installed. In the lower left of the storefront you can see the next step--installation of a black plastic moisture barrier over the plywood.
