Here are the hottest events occurring in 2011 that need to be detailed:

  • The SoHo (NYC) store is being expanded and renovated. Are they creating a two-level store by taking out the main front steps? Tell me what it will look like.
  • Edinburgh (Scotland) – Talked about and rumored for years, now 10-15 Princes Street seems to be the location. What will the store look like (mezzanine?) and when?
  • Spain – Help me with progress reports or photos. A second Barcelona store is under construction on Passeig de Gràcia, and a store in Madrid has just received approvals in Puerta del Sol. What will they look like?
  • Frankfurt (Germany) – Looks to be an amazing store in an historic building with a glass storefront. Opening…when?
  • Qianmen Street, Beijing (China) – This second Beijing location was originally planned before the 2008 Olympics, but the project has dropped off the radar. Where precisely, and when?
  • Palo Alto (CA) – The city has green-lighted this project with a new design that will make it a mini-Upper West Side. What else do you know?
  • Seattle (Wash.) – Somewhere downtown. Is 601 Pine Street correct, the former Old Navy space?
  • Portland (Ore.) – A design advice meeting was held by the city’s Design Commission in mid-March 2012, and the store could open in 2013.
  • Brooklyn (NYC) – A store has been confirmed, but I—and perhaps Apple—am still searching for the location. Explain the search process.
  • Berlin (Germany) – A long-rumored store has been traced to a space on Kurfürstendamm. What’s the latest (besides the windows being blacked out)?
  • Stockholm (Sweden) – Job listings were posted in February 2012, but the location hasn’t been revealed. Where?
  • Apple was reportedly scouting the former Borders Books store on St. Charles Ave. in New Orleans in March 2011. Has anything more been done?

Here’s a list of scouting information that I need:

  • China – Apple has pledged to open 25 stores by the end of 2012. In what other cities beyond Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong?
  • Manchester (UK) – Is there really a huge Apple store going into the former Heals furniture store? Is it opens, will either of the existing stores close/move?
  • Las Vegas (NV) – CityCenter…yes or no? This could be a big store if it ever comes to pass.
  • Sao Paul (Brazil) – Persistent rumors point to Sao Paulo, but is it true?
  • Japan – There hasn’t been a new Japan store since Sapporo in June 2006! Will there be another store this year or next?
  • Mexico – Yes or no? Any chance that the rumored Mexico City store is real?
  • South America – What’s the strategy for this continent? Will stores arrive here before Africa?
  • Ottawa (Ont.) – Anything happening along Wellington Street in the Hintonburg neighborhood?
  • Oxford (UK) – I know that a store is planned for the central business district, but where?
