Black Friday Deals, Extended Hours Announced

November 26, 2009

Apple has finally announced this year’s Black Friday pricing on selected products, the only day of the year the company offers discounts at the on-line and retail stores. As in past years, the discounts are modest, ranging from about five percent to eight percent on Macs, laptops, Apple TV and iPods. Discounts on certain Apple software and accessories are slightly more, ranging from 13 percent to 40 percent. The company has also posted shopping hours for the retail stores during the holiday season. Some stores will open as early as 5 a.m. on Black Friday, and many will open up to two hours early in the weeks before Christmas. This year’s Black Friday tagline is, “TGI Friday. Especially this Friday.” The individual retail store Web pages offer shopping tips for holiday visitors, including, “Visit the Express Bay for quick checkout” when buying an iPod, iPhone or Mac.
