I would love to visit an Apple opening one day.

I am disabled so cant travel too far from home, and wont be camping out overnight, but if Apple ever open a store within a reasonable distance from me, its something id definitely like to go to.

Not only to see the products, but to meet other devoted Apple fans, make new friends and share stories, etc.

We have an Apple Dealership near me thought, so it’s unlikely they will open up an Apple store in a location with an official dealership…. would they?

I got to the store about 8:45 and was maybe about 300th on line standing on 68th St. There was only a light drizzle at the time but the ominous weather might have held the crowd down. After 10:00, the line moved rather briskly and I probably reached the entrance about 20 minutes later. I received a rather plain T-shirt (a black T-shirt showing on the front a likeness of the glass building and on the back a tiny Apple logo and the address of the store) stayed a short while, took some pictures and checked to see how long the line was. It was wrapped halfway around the block. I’d guess there was about 1000 people which isn’t that bad but surely not like the Paris opening. We already have three other stores in Manhattan so, I guess this wasn’t such a big deal. It’s a large, nice looking store, but not much different from any other Apple store in NY. There was only about three or four Apple employees that ran the entire line giving high fives when I was there. There really wasn’t much mention about the NYUWS store opening the next day, but three stores opened around the world, so I guess openings are becoming commonplace.

I hope they get a lot of training done and the large Genius Bar should provide Apple consumers with plenty of help. Four Apple stores seems like bit too many, but many people say it’s necessary so good for them. Keep up the good work, Apple, and sell those products. As an Apple investor, I’d love to see the stock sitting at $250 by mid next year.

Andrew,
You don’t say where you are located, so it’s hard to say whether there might be a store near you at some point.
Apple has placed stores near licensed resellers on numerous occasions, so I would not worry about that deterring Apple from placing a store near you.

There’s two Apple Stores now that are near me, I actually go past both on my way into work. Didn’t go to either of theirs openings, mostly due to scheduling problems. Hopefully, I’ve heard rumors of another store opening up near here, so maybe if they’re true, I could be at its opening.

But from the uploaded pics, did I notice a few celebrities, like Kenneth the Page and that “Hat guy” from 30 Rock, plus Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright).
