The grand opening of the Manhasset (NY) retail store is scheduled for Saturday, October 17th, and it will reveal a clone of the existing Scottsdale Quarter store: large windows on both ends of a rectangular box covered with stainless steel. The building replaces a former savings and loan branch, and is just beyond the boundary of Americana Manhasset shopping mall on Long Island, about 20 miles east of Manhattan. Based on site visits, the store will feature a spectacular see-through design, with all back-of-house space located in the basement.

It’s not a former bank. Astoria Federal is still standing and still in business, on the west end of that strip. [IFO - Okay, "savings and loan."]
And Apple isn’t being particularly nice to their neighbors, with trucks going in and out at all hours and pile drivers going at 9am this past Sunday.
This is only the beginning of the complaints in this highly snooty neighborhood.
Have any photos?
I’m pretty excited about this. It will be nice to have a store thats not in an indoor mall. Also, hopefully it won’t be as ridiculously crowded as the Roosevelt Field one usually is!
This is a great thing to have Apple move into the very convenient Northern Blvd. Manhasset area.
great mall !!! great location !!! great store !! great products !!!
can wait to buy there!
Thank God!!!!! I cannot stand the packed Roosevelt Field store and I always have to wait an hour just to see a genius when I need something. I want a free t-shirt, I have my PSAT that morning!! Why does it have to be this way?
Make an appointment?
