The grand opening date of Apple retail stores is always difficult to predict, but for the future Churchill Square store in Brighton (UK), a city building permit provides some guidance. Thanks to Nick for finding the document pinned to the black construction barricade at the shopping center. It states that construction was to have begun on April 13th, and is planned to consume three weeks of “planning and preparation of the construction works.” After that, the permit states the planned duration of construction work will be 16 weeks. Those figures seem to put the grand opening around August 24th. The permit includes a description of the construction work, and the word “staircase” is mentioned, suggesting a two-level store.
