The grand opening of the third store in Switzerland could occur within weeks, based on a view of the store’s interior at Bahnhofstrasse 77 in Zurich. The city center location has been transformed over the last two weeks as barricades have come down, but window coverings still obscure the interior. A long article on the MacPrime Web site recalls the history of the former United Colors of Benetton clothing store space, and displays building plans filed with the city. The storefront covering now says “Apple Zurich – Coming Soon,” but otherwise doesn’t hint at an opening date. However, based on the finished condition of the interior, the store could open within two weeks.
