Peek Inside Possible Milano Store Site

May 1, 2009

Despite the best efforts of Apple sleuthers, some future store locations remain a secret, including the one planned for Milano (Italy). All investigations point to Corso Vittorio Emanuele II 28, a large empty space that has become a key part of the revitalization of the city center, which has been in languishing in some decay for several years. The city approved reconstruction plans earlier this year, and now the space has been cleared out on two levels. The developer is being secretive about the plans, but does say several tenants will occupy 10,000 square-foot spaces, plus a large common area. The work is scheduled to be finished by the end of the summer, at which point individual retailers could begin their own fit-out, perhaps including Apple before Christmas. Check photos after the break.

Check this panoramic photo of the inside of the store, taken through half-obscured windows. It shows that no actual construction is now underway.

The red outlined area is where redevelopment will be occurring. The green outlined area is where the future Apple store is presumed to be built.

Mi auguro che Milano avrà un Apple Store per il Natale. Che un bel regalo per gli acquirenti italiani.
