A black-painted construction barricade has appeared on the second level of the Churchill Square shopping mall in Brighton (UK), confirming earlier reports of a future store there. According to photos, the store will be located between Build A Bear and River Island in the central part of the mall. The store could open by Fall.

Is that a barricade or a facade?
Barricade, as it stops people from entering the space. However, you could call it a temporary facade.
Hmm. Considering there are two Apple resellers less than 10 minutes walk from here, perhaps manning the barricades might be a good idea after all!
Why do these small cities in Uk get apple stores (480,000) people but cities here in Canada like London Ontario get nothing?
@Betty:
It’s all about the number of Mac users, not inhabitants.
Brighton has a major university, a strong pro/creative design community, and proven resellers. They know this store will sell! That’s why!
I’m sure London Ontario will get it’s store too. There’s not even one in Paris yet…!
@Betty:
The same here in Zurich. The city has only 380,000 inhabitants, but with a rate of about 15% mac users it’s the one with the highest mac shares. That’s the reason we’ll get a second Apple Store this summer.
we have a university with 25,000 students (most are mac)
our own itunes u section?
plus a large college
Can’t say I’m sorry for Cancom (one of the other Brighton Apple dealers). In my experience, trying to get information out of them was a real pain and everything seemed to be too much trouble.
