Brooklyn Store Still Possible Along River

February 12, 2009

According to the owners of a development along the East River in Brooklyn (NY), Apple is still interested in occupying a ground-floor space for a retail store. In October 2007 tipsters said Apple’s real estate team was scouting The Edge, a condo-retail development along Kent Avenue between 5th and 7th Streets. On Monday during a real estate roundtable in Brooklyn, developer Joe Levine revealed that Apple is still interested in retail space at The Edge, but that no deal has been signed. The Brownstoner Web site reports that Levine also said that talks with Apple are on-going.
