I like PeachMac but I miss the advantage of an Apple retail store with free trainings rather than having to pay for them. I have been waiting for the PeachMac store in Augusta to offer MobileMe training and this is something the retail store teachers regularly. The retail store has more classes more frequently.

possible reason to put a store in augusta is because the peachMac is doing well.
apple has a long history of animosity/unhospitability towards non-corporates that sell macs.

Hard to believe that the first store outside the Atlanta metro didn’t make it to Savannah. When I was in college there it seemed like a sure thing, but eight years later still no sign of Apple.

Actually, there already is a terrific Apple store in Augusta. It’s called PeachMac and they opened in October. They carry everything Apple has and a whole lot more. Great store, great staff, great location on Washington Road in Evans. No idea why Apple needs to put a store in Augusta with PeachMac in town…

This is GREAT! I live 75 miles from Atlanta and only about 50 miles from Augusta. I would like to spend more time at Apple stores to take advantage of their educational opportunities. Apple continues to grow at the expense of their competitors.
