Southcenter Opens in Larger Space

November 17, 2008

After four years a mini-store, the Southcenter (Wash.) location opened last Saturday as a full-sized store, offering customers around Tukwila almost six times the floor space to browse Apple’s products. The old store was one of six that opened in October 2004, after Apple discovered that going small didn’t proportionally reduce revenues. Three additional mini-stores opened later that year, but none has opened since then. The Bridgewater Commons (NJ) store was upgraded to a full-sized store earlier this month. Thanks to Christina for the photo of the new space.

Anyone see what’s going on with the old space? As always, I wouldn’t mind having one of those stainless steel panels in my pad…but I know that’ll never happen.

Ah, memories… I bought my first new iMac there back in 2004. Since then, I discovered it was cost-effective to drive to Portland to buy my other Macs (no sales tax, plus the military discount more than make up for the gas used…)
