Apple will close an obvious 45-mile gap between the cluster of stores that serve Los Angeles and San Diego with a new store at the inland mall The Promenade at Temecula. The mall is along busy Interstate 15, and is being expanded with a 126,000 square-feet outdoor-facing area. The Apple store will occupy one of the new spaces when the expansion opens in March, 2009. The store will help link the five existing stores that serve San Diego, and the four stores in southern Orange County, south of Los Angeles.

This is great! While Apple did just open a store in Carlsbad, CA., the Carlsbad location is actually so far out of the way, that it is almost easier to drive all the way to San Diego (Fashion Valley) from where I live in Temecula. It’s great to see that Apple is growing!

I live in Menifee. A store just opened in Escondido, which is much closer and easier (just straight down I-215).

Well looking on apple’s site for job openings for the temecula store I have noticed that temecula is no longer showing on the list of new stores. I’m wondering if they are still going to open it up?
Has any who applied for a job at the Temecula store heard back from Apple?
I applied for a Genius position in October! I haven’t heard anything. I’ve also noticed that the Temecula store is nowhere to be found on Apple’s website…hmm…
Alright! Apple is coming!
There is no apple store going in at Temecula. If so, where is the building they are going to use. They can’t add it over it. Sorry but no store there. =(
Still shows on future site as opening in March 2009, probably pushed back with construction at the site that I’ve seen.
The Apple retail job opportunities site shows Temecula as a location again. But the site does not list any current openings for any of the positions.

Was at the Promenade today and a big new Apple logo was on one of the storefronts under construction. Looks like work is progressing on the inside from what little I could see.

I’ve gove by this new Apple Store construction a couple of times in the past few weeks. Once got a peek inside and saw the Genius Bar almost completed. Today, 3 fellows were out polishing the grey frame in front, and a couple of others watching.I asked them if they knew when it was going to open, and one said, a week from this Saturday. I nearly dropped my iPhone! Could this be true? I asked him if he was sure, and he said yes – that he worked for Apple. So OK Macfans, the opening according to this guy, will be Saturday the 26 of Sept.
Location: Outside the Mall at the Promodade-next to the Coach Store. I can’t figure out why there has been no official info before this? Anyone know? And those of you that already knew that, what time do you think we’d need to show up to be among the luck first 100?
