Yet Another Paris Location Possibility

September 21, 2008

A France-based Web site claims that Apple has finalized plan to build a retail store in the Opera District of Paris, after encountering permit problems for at least one previous site. The piratec.net Web site points to 12 rue Halévy, an impressive six-level building that faces Place Jacques Rouché north of the Tuileries gardens. The 112-foot wide building face is visible from a wide angle, and features nine tall windows framed with stone arches. It’s adjacent to the Paris Opera House and a five-minute walk from several Metro and RER train stations. Inside, the space is two-levels high, ready for conversion into what is now a common Apple feature–a mezzanine. The space is now empty, so construction could apparently begin any time, with completion within a year. Apple still wants to open a store along the Champs Elysées, but has been unable to find the perfect location. Check a Google map after the break.
