When a customer walks into an Apple store to participate in a One to One training session, the trainer has to be ready for any electronic connection. That’s why stores have installed a collection of labeled cords that are stored in the table cut-out, and which can be extended to computer and other gear. Check photos after the break.
In the middle of the rear located training table, there is a cut-out to allow power and other connections. In this case, Apple has several labels cords ready to plug into a customer's gear.
You can see that each cord is labeled for its connectivity

This is absolutely nothing new. Apple Stores have had these for a long time…
I didn’t know they had these, but I’ll agree with Adam, this is half of what IFO is about. I also liked the MBP powered displays, even though I’d probably look for that when I go next time.
