Passersby at the future Royal Hawaiian (Honolulu) retail store can now catch a glimpse of the gray stone siding that is finally being installed after months of delay. The stone, reportedly shipped in from some other island country, cost thousands of dollars to fabricate to Apple’s exacting standards, and forced the company to transfer already-hired employees to other Honolulu stores until this new store opens. The interior of the store has been nearly finished for weeks, so the store could open by month’s end. Check a photo after the break.

This very unusual photo by Mark shows a section of stone siding for the Royal Hawaiian Apple store sitting on a frame, ready for installation. It is one-half of the famous Apple logo.
