‘Springs’ Store Construction Underway

Construction on the future Apple store at The Promenade at Briargate in Colorado Springs (Colo.) is progressing, with photos by Ralph showing that the stainless steel hasn’t quite been installed. But, behind a black construction barricade labeled with a white Apple logo, you can see exactly where the backlit logo will be placed. See the photos after the break.

The barricade hides the lower portion of the building, but not the upper.

Black weatherproofing material surrounds the location where the back-lit Apple store logo will be installed. Look v-e-r-y closely to see the logo (or view the next photo).

I manipulated the above photo in Photoshop Elements a bit to enhance the view of the Apple logo that is behind the white material.

Finally! We should have had a store years ago.

I know just what you mean Jchull. I get a discount at Apple and it will be nice to stay in town to get it. We also have a Simply-Mac and MacSuperstore in town too. Now we have a many places to pick and choose.

Yeah, I get a discount as well, it will be nice to not drive 45 minutes to use it. As far as service goes, there were no good options in town before, unless you could wait 4+ weeks for what was a sad excuse for a repair center to take a look at your hardware. It will be easy for me to chose where to go, 5 minutes from work and from home, plus a discount…

Sorry, Shane, Part Two. I went into the COS MacSuperstore last week and not one clerk approached me to ask if I needed help. It was as if I were invisible. I even spent some time playing around with one of the iMacs, and still no acknowledgement even though most of the clerks were just standing around. I was so disgusted I left. That will be my last visit to the MacSuperstore. No matter how busy it is in an Apple store is, one is always greeted and helped. Whenever I’m in a city with an Apple store, I check it out and have never received anything but tremendous customer service. Having an Apple store a few miles from my house in Briargate is going to be a real treat.
