Construction on the future Victoria Square (Belfast) Apple store has taken major strides since it was first identified by tipsters last November. The interior of the store is nearing completion, and behind a construction barricade the all-glass façade has been erected. The store occupies space U5, on the upper ground-floor of the complex in the Northern Ireland capital of half a million residents. The store will be the first in Northern Ireland, and will open before the holidays, 2008.

Here is a peek behind the plastic covering of the all-glass storefront. Notice at the top of the photo there is a cut-out Apple logo waiting for its lighting insert.

Thanks for posting my photos. Looks like there is still a lot of work to be done, but by all accounts that is the MO for fitting out these stores. There was a rumours on the twittervine that the opening is at the end of this month (August), but since employees are under NDA we can’t confirm.
Anyway, can’t wait, will be camping out overnight.
Can you tell me. Will it be a spilt level store like Princesshay, Exeter?

Dave the pics where taken last week. I was there today. The covers have been removed and they have covered the glass structure with black vinyl!! I would say about 2 – 3 weeks, if we’re lucky
