Another UK flagship…..wow..this was a shock

Apple please expand into Canada more…theres more cities then Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal

It looks like one floor. The 1st & 2nd floor indicate wood, which Apple doesn’t use for the shop floor. Or they ran out of stone again in Italy?

Thorough stuff! Good reporting.

It seems that this building / complex went out very explicitly to gain Apple’s interest. That would explain the otherwise too-close-to-Regent Street placement. Apparently, the idea of a significant London HQ as well as another grand store clinched it for them.

I can understand the Canadian poster’s envy. Edinburgh, my town in Britain, is still waiting for its store…

For those not familiar with this area. Have a look at the market scenes in the 1964 film musical ‘My fair Lady’. That is Covent Garden market. Well, a film companies mock-up. But fairly authentic.
