Good reporting. It seems that this building / complex went out very explicitly to gain Apple's interest. That would explain the otherwise too-close-to-Regent Street placement. Apparently, the idea of a significant London HQ as well as another grand store clinched it for them. I can understand the Canadian poster's envy. Edinburgh, my town in Britain, is still waiting for its store… Thorough stuff! Good reporting.

It seems that this building / complex went out very explicitly to gain Apple’s interest. That would explain the otherwise too-close-to-Regent Street placement. Apparently, the idea of a significant London HQ as well as another grand store clinched it for them.

I can understand the Canadian poster’s envy. Edinburgh, my town in Britain, is still waiting for its store…
