Besides the LIverpool One retail store opening this weekend, Apple will hold grand opening for three other stores: Sainte Catherine (Montreal) on Friday at 5 p.m., and then Arrowhead Towne Center (Ariz.) and King Street (SC) on Saturday at 10 a.m. The openings begin a series of 23 new stores before the end of September, as promised on Monday by CFO Peter Oppenheimer during a conference call with financial analysts. If you take photos of the grand openings, e-mail a few selected shots to this address for instant posting. Also check these photos of the future Sainte Catherine (Montreal) store by Mat, and these façade photos by MacEtMoi, both showing a smallish store behind a large façade, with a compact, left-turn glass staircase at the back of the store.

THATS A DISGRACE…the apple store…
3 product bays deep? and then a crappy staircase…(thats not even circular?
This store is tiny..and really isnt considered a flagship…but since its the first out of mall location in Canada…I guess it is a flagship!
I think the more proper term is high profile. There are several out of mall locations in the U.S. that are not considered flagships. I’m not even sure Apple uses the term anymore because it is confused and/or used too often.
Just got back from King Street store. It was awesome. Got a T-shirt in XL. I wear a M. Too bad :(

Is the Montreal store a flagship? Its awfully small, was it confirmed or just rumored? [IFO -- Apple calls its most visible and up-front stores "high-profile," and so far there are just eight such stores. Montreal is street-level, and has a glass front, but that doesn't make it one of its showcases. I'd say it doesn't qualify as a high-profile, but Apple may have other ideas.]
