Haha, I love Leno. He’s right you know.

JoeB July 12, 2008 at 4:21 am

he also called it a G3

1985 called. (You know the last time Leno said something funny.)

It wants him back.

That guy is still on? I think that the people who still watch him need to get a life. How many people would stand in line for a week to watch his tired ass monologues?

Howie Isaacks July 12, 2008 at 9:45 am

They have no idea how much I was doing while in line for 14 hours.

Live streaming
Twitter
blogging
Calling people from line
Taking breaks and hitting starbucks while someone held my place

I have a life. Leno can shut the fuck up. His jokes suck and he’s an idiot.

AND IT’S NOT G3!!!

Hah! I truly hope you people are not serious. This is called late night, this is Leno, a host, not a comedian, he makes corny jokes, corny jokes are the trademark of late show openings. These people haven’t “stopped being funny,” you just started watching and haven’t figured out what late night is.

I’d wait a day for an iphone, his joke is still funny and light. What the heck happened to all the self-deprecating nerd jokes that we laugh at? Don’t tell me we’ve become so damn nerdy now that we take jokes from a late show host personally.

i really dont get the previous “analysis” of leno not being a comedian but a stand up “host”??? leno does “comedy” stand up gigs constantly at two clubs in la area, does “comedy” in vegas twice a year for outrageous prices, has an agent who markets him as s ‘comedian” and some guy (above) thinks he is not TRYING to be a comic.? now if only he WERE funny….yeh..1985, maybe that was when he was funny, but b4 my time to watch late night..my rents didn’t even think he was funny..

i dont think leno would ever want (or need) to stand in any line, to go to a rave, a concert making you stand for 12 hours to get tickets, the same time once your in the stadium…he is a retiree soon…so, i guess that gives him some cred..

drive past the studio where he tapes and watch the ppl standing in blazing sun for hours and hours, waiting to be prompted by paid cheerleaders, then waiting for the show…i would say that time is more than the ‘average’ person waited in line for the phone…..now…i have to go get mine

This coming from a man who owns and obsesses over hundreds of cars!

It’s not that we Apple users don’t appreciate (and even participate in) self deprecating humor, it’s just that it has to be FUNNY. Or at least clever. The “get a life” thing geared toward people is getting old. Or, already is. Besides, what does it hurt him, or anyone else if someone wants an iPhone (or to see a movie or buy a video game console) and stands in line for it?

Like i said, funny is fine- but judgmental can be just plain mean.

The pathetic/sad thing is that he tells the same joke a couple nights in a row.

I’m watching his show right now, and he said the joke again…

Max July 14, 2008 at 8:44 pm

Max,

It’s called a re-run.
