it is official, there is no spiral stair

the stairs are in the center back of the store like the Apple Store in Exeter UK (http://www.flickr.com/photos/55876158@N00/2147187828) but double the width.

the floor is still dirty just like the silver wall panels

yeah I saw that the other day when I passed by,,, too bad I'm not gonna be in montreal when it opens...

Guess I'll see it when I come back after the summer

And oh by the way I asked a guy who was working in the store and he said construction will finish in August, I saw the inside of the store and it looks like it still needs a lot of work...

They look too large to just be a standard front to me. I'm sure Apple would love to have another dramatic flagship store like the Boston or Sydney locations.

I'm in Ottawa, but I'm tempted to go to the Montreal opening if it doesn't clash with the iPhone 3G launch. Not often you get these kinds of experiences so close to home in Canada.

Are those panels destined for another glass facadé? From my rough measurements, the panel with the scissor-lift is about 36' tall (wide?) and that seems way too much for an interior. I wonder what kind of staircase the store's gonna have (standard square, spiral, hidden sydney-type)?
