Logo Appears on Conn. Zoning Documents

Documents submitted by a local architect to Greenwich (Conn.) zoning officials bear Apple’s distinctive logo, prompting local media to speculate that the company will locate a retail store in the former movie theater at 356 Greenwich Avenue in the downtown district of that city. The previous Clearview Cinema movie theater closed in in August, 2007, but the building dates back to 1914 when it opened as the Greenwich Playhouse. Inside there is an upper and lower theater, the latter with full stage rigging and dressing rooms. As first reported by the Greenwich Time newspaper, Ridberg and Associates Architects is handling the zoning and permit applications, which are in the early process. The city is home to the very-wealthy and the well-known, and hosts the state’s only Aston Martin dealership. Check the Cinematour Web site for photos of the building.
