Now to add my $.02 to the pics put up thursday evening from the "set". As a film student, I've seen many setups like at 5th Avenue, and it looks pretty large to be for Apple. I'm not sure Apple has EVER used a camera crane like that Panavision that was sitting ON 5th ave. That 24-cell bank of lights behind the diffusion is also some serious wattage. The latest iPhone ads, the testimonials, were very basic. All there really was was a blank backdrop and maybe a light or two, but probably just a bunch of reflective boards, whereas this is some serious equipment. Unfortunately nobody has posted a good shot of the director's car on the 5th Ave sidewalk which should be able to tell us what kind of shoot they're doing, whether a 2-up (2 camera as in a TV show) or just a 1-up, say interviews or whatnot.
