iChat With Stores, Make Friends

May 20, 2008

The constellation of Apple retail stores is connected back to headquarters by telephone, e-mail and express freight. But the stores are also connected to the rest of us by iChat, allowing anyone on earth to see and talk to store visitors and employees through the stores’ display computers. Now a example of this type of communications has been posted on YouTube, showing someone connecting to the Ginza (Tokyo) retail store and giving them a wave. The iChat trick only works when a computer is actually running the software on a store computer, which isn’t a common occurrence. Check here for information on making a store iChat connection.
