A stroll along Rue de Rive in Genève (Switzerland) reveals a mixture of local shops and international outlets. But coming upon the store at #4, you might be surprised to see a large black construction barricade blocking half the sidewalk. The barricade marks the location of a future Apple store, one of two known locations in the country, and part of Apple’s increased push into international locations. It’s not clear what type of construction is occurring now, but the store could be ready by year’s end. Check a photo after the break.

The long yellow sign to the left of the barricade states in French, “ESC Hairdressing Academy.” In the foreground you can see tracks for the city’s tram line.
