Apple continues to reconfigure its retail stores according to increased visitor volume, this time expanding the existing Biltmore (Phoenix) retail store into the adjoining space to provide more square feet of display space. The store opened March, 2002 as store #29 in a fashionable district north of downtown. According to tipsters, the store will be closed from May 11th to 16th while the construction work is underway. The Apple store now occupies a corner space, with a small empty space to the west (orange), and the Ann Taylor space (blue) next to that. The Ann Taylor store apparently just moved to another location within the mall. It’s not clear if the expansion will occupy both the orange and blue spaces.
Note: A comment states the store is actually shrinking to 30-feet, instead of expanding.
