Thanks for the pics! However, there’s a typo. The mall is along Granville, not “Manville”… [IFO -- Thanks! Correction made.]

    Hi,

I called and they said it will open in Summer of ‘08 not Spring. No specific date though. [IFO -- Isn't it already Spring?]

Yesn but I meant by the end of Spring.

Those pictures are misleading. The actual Apple Store is located upstairs. There are black walls and a huge apple logo. These picture are showing the space downstairs. If you notice the Apple sticker is on a black door, and the pictures are showing white doors.

It is still possible that there will be two levels for the apple store, according to this recent ifoAppleStore post.

On Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the Business section (pages H1 & 3) of The Vancouver Sun was a story headlined -
City Apple store opening in ‘late summer’/Patience of Vancouver Mac fans will be tested as store’s opening delayed.
It was accompanied with a photo (second one) via

The article was available a day earlier online with a typo and a different headline.

Mac_Boy is right. You don’t need to go looking for a “hint” of where the apple store will be. If you go one floor up you’ll see the classic black/grey wall and apple logo. Nothing hidden or hard to find about it.

I was just down there earlier today. What I saw is, in the location I’ve been certain that they’re going into, there’s the famous black wall with the white apple logo and website listing. Then near the middle there’s a set of double doors, where in the middle of the two doors, there’s the sticker (which is the same one you get in the book with apple products). So, it’s not a dead giveaway that they’re going in there. Can’t get much clearer than a big giant logo with a website painted on a big wall, don’t need to go looking for any subtle sign.

Took a little peak through the crack, looks like things are starting to shape up quite nicely in there. I was hoping it’ll be open by the May long weekend, but I don’t think so. I think I read something about late summer, I’m gonna say probably sometime in early August, just before Back to School starts up. But, if they wait until early September, it’ll be a perfect Birthday present for me.

Was just there yesterday (April 16). Was peeking through the door crack into the construction area that is behind the black billboard with the Apple logo when a construction worker came up and let herself through the door. Knowing I had an opportunity to ask a question–and only one–and not having had time to think much about it, I put on my most winning smile and asked “How may floors will the store have?”. The answer–just one.

The work inside is still in its early stages. There is still mostly concrete showing on walls, floors, and ceiling.

    Cheers

    [IFO -- Hey! Nice work!]

I was just in the mall yesterday, and was a little surprised to see that the large white Apple logo that had been on the black wall is now gone. I wonder what this means?
