I said no. I'm making more money and lot's less pressure now. Working at Apple Retail is the harshest environment I have ever experienced. Management doesn't seem to care about the employees and the rare good managers are marginalized. When I left the Store, it was more about numbers and less about customer care. For example, how many people could we run through the GB cue per hour, what was the lowest turn around time for our repairs, how fast could a sale be wrapped up, how many sales could each Mac Specialist do, and so on. Yeah, this is big business to be sure. And the rough shod managers that were hired into the store reflected that. The more personable one were pushed to one side or were given less critical roles. But I still remain loyal to Apple and wish them well…as I have started using their computers in 1979.
