The distinction between Apple’s retail stores and authorized resellers seems to have been blurred with the discovery of a Greek reseller store with a stainless steel-colored façade, back-lit Apple logo and glass display window. The Applestore Demo Center in the city of Thessaloniki has a display window framed with panels whose color corresponds exactly to Apple’s stainless steel. A four-foot, white Apple logo is set into one of the panels, similar to many of Apple’s mall stores. Up to now, resellers have used the Apple name and logo, but cast in different colors and displayed in different ways so as not to resemble the company stores. According to photos posted on flickr by Sigalakos, the Greek store’s interior does not resemble an official Apple store. Instead, it has a light-colored tile floor instead of gray stone, and printed posters on the wall instead of wall graphics. The wall-mounted display tables are similar to company stores in both materials and design.

Congrats to Sigalakos, who is the newest employee at Elite CS. This reseller seems doing a good work at Thessaloniki and the near area in Greece. Hoping for more Mac stores in our country, more Mac users also.
Thanks to Dimitris for his kind words and IFO Applestore for this post. Whenever in Thessaloniki, everyone is welcome for a quick chat. :-)
