This also has extended to extended hours in the summer months and at one time even holiday hours for the end of year shopping season. As Apple opens more stores they may wish more conformity and the individual Store Managers may have less influence, but I wouldn't be surprised if they still had some discretionary authority here. That would explain the "some are open, some are closed" nature of the posts we're seeing. Traditionally, the decision on whether to close for Easter has been up to the individual Store Managers. Hawaii, as noted, appears to be an exception here, as well as the standalone stores (where Apple probably has more, or perhaps all, say).
