Apple will open two more stores in Italy, both in the city of Milano and perhaps opening by year’s end. As first reported by the setteB.IT Web site, Sr. V-P Ron Johnson revealed during today’s annual stockholders meeting that one store will be located near Piazza Duomo in city center, and the other along Corso Buenos Aires, an upscale shopping area. On another subject, when asked why Apple didn’t locate a store in Rome’s city center, Johnson said that lease rates were too high. In fact, he said, the rates were higher than what Apple is paying for its Fifth Avenue (NYC) store.
