This is simply a relocation of an earlier rumored Apple Store in Fort Worth. Original rumors had it going in the new “Museum Place” shopping center a few miles away, but now it’s confirmed that it will be in University Park Village instead.

Actually, there are currently 4 stores in Dallas/Fort Worth: Willow Bend in Plano, Northpark in Dallas, Knox Street in Highland Park, and Southlake Town Square in Southlake. The new store in Fort Worth will be number 5. There is also confirmation in the local Craigslist job board that there will be a 6th store in Frisco just north of Plano. When Southlake Town Square opened, many Fort Worth residents were annoyed that Apple came close to Fort Worth but still too far away for convenience.

“There’s no region in the country more populous than the Dallas-Forth Worth (Tex.) Metroplex,”

According to Wikipedia: “The Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington MSA is the largest metropolitan area in Texas and the fourth-largest in the United States.[5]” The top four are New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island, NY-NJ-PA (18.8 million), Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana, CA (12.9 million), Chicago-Naperville-Joliet, IL-IN-WI (9.5 million) and Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, TX (6.0)

It doesn’t really affect the story, so you don’t have to actually post this comment. I just thought it was an odd way to lead off.

Yay for Wikipedia! Darn it Gary! Get it right :) We expect you to be an expert on every metropolitan area in the country– especially Dallas/Fort Worth. [IFO--And my father was born and raised in Texas...chee!]
