A construction barricade has appeared within the Forum Shops at Ceasar’s Palace (Las Vegas) along the Strip, confirming Apple’s arrival for “Summer 2008,” according to the sign. The light-colored barricade includes an unusual all-upper-case “APPLE,” and is located in the far western area of the meandering mall, near the Express men’s store and aquarium. It will be the third store in Las Vegas. Thanks to the SecureMac.com Web site for this photo of the space. [About a week later, the wording was painted over.]

That’ll be the third Apple store here in Las Vegas and all three of them are on the strip.
Hello Apple! There are nearly 2 million people living off of the strip. Give us locals somewhere to go.
Peter, at least you have Apple stores in your city. I have to drive 160 miles to Minneapolis to visit an Apple store. My brother lives in Las Vegas, and so I’m quite familiar with the city. Though the strip can be a hassle some times, it sure beats a 160 mile drive.
I didn’t see a logo in the photo. And it’s the wrong corporate font for Apple, Inc.
Yes…i drive 250km to toronto or detroit
Apple should build a 4 story flagship on the strip with hotel.
That’s it Eric. Think different.
How about an Apple Hotel. Apple TV in every room. The Apple store would be souvenirs. Waitresses walking around offering iPods and iTunes gift cards. (Of course the t-shirts and blue jeans wouldn’t be all that sexy.) No need for a Genius Bar. There is plenty of smart money in Vegas.

That’s because Apple didn’t make the signage. It was placed there by the Forum Shops management, and therefore designed to match the existing signage in the mall.

The truly ridiculous part is that Fashion Show and Forum Shops are less than ONE MILE apart. At least the Town Square location is down the right a fair bit.

I couldn’t agree more. Fashion Show and Forum Shops are a pain due to the high traffic in the area; Town Square is literally on the opposite side of the valley from me. We need Apple stores spread out, maybe one in the Galleria in Henderson and one in Aliante?
Hey david do u live in duluth or superior because so do i and that sounds like what i drive
Already open got there at 930 got my 4 t-shirts. Same size as the Town Square one.
Actually, it’s the 4th in Vegas. There is a place called Century 23 thats been selling apple stuff since 1978. Right by the meadows mall.
Chris –
I’m talking about ‘official’ Apple stores.
