The traditional construction barricade is going up in front of 1321 Ste-Catherine W. in Montreal (Canada), indicating that renovation work will begin shortly on the future Apple store. The fixtures and signs for the former Mens clothing store are still visible as workers erect the barricade using aluminum studs. City workers trimmed the two trees in front of the store, but they’ll eventually be removed when construction starts. Just like the parking meters that the city wouldn’t allow Apple to remove, however, both trees will be replanted when construction is finished. It will be the second Apple store in the metro region when it opens, probably before Thanksgiving, 2008. Thanks to Raymond for the photos [#1 / #2].
