I've set up a thread in the forum which i'll update with regular construction photos if anyone wants to keep up with the progress of the new store. In which case, Leeds should have an Apple store as the largest city in the north. The old Allders building that is being renovated could be a good location. The renderings on The Core that show an Apple Store are very hopeful, and I don't think indicates an Apple store will open- just the sort of retailers The Core is hoping to secure. Maybe the White Rose Shopping Center or somewhere in the Victoria Quarter? A store in the Corn Exchange would be pretty cool. With around 80,000 students in the city it has an enormous cachet in terms of culture and style. Furthermore it is a regional shopping destination from places like Huddersfield, Rotherham, Bradford and to a degree, York. Although, yes, it has huge traffic passing through, people are doing just that: passing through. Streets just around the corner from the location are much more desirable and appropriate. The 'Core' shopping centre would have to be completely rebuilt for it to resemble something appropriate for an Apple Store. In my opinion (as a resident of the city), it comes across as decidedly third rate. Albion Place or Briggate itself would be much more appropriate.
