January 5, 2008

The contents of this New Year’s traditional Lucky Bags sold in Japan this past week included a MacBook for at least one lucky buyer at each of seven Apple stores, along with other merchanse worth almost $700. About 80 bags were sold at each store for $322, all containing copies of iLife ‘08, iWork ‘08, OS X, a wireless Mighty Mouse, a LaCie 120 Gb hard drive, Bose speakers and a 10 percent Apple discount card. The “special” bags at each store contained a MacBook and or (Product) Red iPod. Many people lined up overnight in 37-degree temperatures to purchase the bags.
