Not long after Apple debuted a Web site for Mexico last November, the company took the first step to improve retail coverage in the country by opening two Apple Shops in Mexico City. Like similar Shops inside El Corte Inglés (Spain) and FNAC (France) stores, these retail spaces are inside El Palacio de Hierro department stores, and feature Apple store-like designs. Photos on the MundoMacWeb site show wood display tables, acrylic price card holders, and back-lit Apple logos. Apple promotes the shops on its Mexican Web site. In December tipsters reported that Apple was negotiating with Reichmann International for space in the Torre Mayor office complex for an official Apple store.

AS USUAL Latin america means only MEXICO for Apple.
The rest of countries are still buy from the same authorized resellers.
Thank god. There is dire need for a flagship in this important city. A Metro of almost 30 million, and an incredibly important hub for Latin America. My suggestion for a flagship would be a beautiful store on the Presidente Masarik Ave along with all the other prestigious shops. Then I would also include a large store (non -flagship) in the Santa-Fe Mall in Estado de Mexico.
